Steve Asher is a conservative law enforcement leader with over 40 years of experience at the municipal, county, and state levels. Steve believes in traditional policing, where law enforcement officers are the primary guardians of public safety, whose primary responsibilities are to PRESERVE, PROTECT, and DEFEND the constitution of the United States, enforcing laws and the rights of citizens. His beliefs carry through to his practice with accolades that range from Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in Child Assault Prevention to the Sheriff’s Achievement Medal.

Steve Asher was born and raised in Sparks, Nevada, and lived there before moving to Texas with his wife to be closer to their family in 2013. He has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 36 years, and they have four children and six grandchildren.
Steve's hobbies include coaching, camping, water skiing, hunting, and biking. Steve is also a highly successful soccer coach competitively and recreationally, holding a National “B” coaching License through the United States Soccer Federation. He has 3 Nevada State Competitive Soccer Championships and 3 State of Nevada High School Championships and was named the State of Nevada Coach of the Year.
Steve and his wife attend Hope Fellowship Church in Frisco, TX. He has volunteered as the Church's Middle and High School Leader for 5.5 years. Steve has also volunteered in several out-of-country and in-state missions. Including volunteering with Love Pacs, Frisco, to help feed local students and families in need, traveling to Mexico to build homes, and working with Living Hope to deliver discipleship programs in Capetown, South Africa.
